eatDOORI is a modern Indian restaurant with authentic food. The experience of classic Indian dishes and original street food in a restaurant of contemporary design and urban atmosphere. We cook our dishes fresh every day in our open kitchen. The place to be for Indian food and good quality drinks - including twisted Indian cocktails.
Aside from the usual frozen ready meals, I haven't had a lot of contact with Indian food. With my first order from eatdOOri (via mainz-Liefer, please keep this service "after" corona, you are great !!) I tested my way through the menu and tried 3 different dishes. Unfortunately, I couldn't take any photos because it looked so good and tasted just the same. Without exception everything! I will definitely test more of your card over time and I would definitely recommend you to others.
I am not evaluating the waiting time of 1.5 hours here because the delivery was made via Mainz. The food is unfortunately not acceptable in terms of price-performance ratio, for 11.40 € chicken breast consisting of 6 dry chicken pieces, plus 3 pieces of flatbread and chutney the size of a sample container. The fact that there wasn't even a whole flatbread came as a surprise to me, as this bread is free to eat in most places. So all in all, I paid just under 12 euros for some chicken. That doesn't justify the price in any way, not even at Corona time. The other dish, consisting of okra and aubergine, unfortunately tasted burnt and also only with 3 pieces of flatbread. Disappointing on the one hand by the price of the food and on the other by the taste. Tried but ordered the last time there.
The restaurant is located in the old town of Mainz, so it is easy to reach on foot. It is furnished in a modern style, which I personally unfortunately do not find so nice. The waitresses were extremely friendly, but everything took a long time that evening, although it wasn't very crowded. The starter was really tasty and perfectly prepared, but the rice in the main course was, in my opinion, a bit very spicy - even for an Indian restaurant. I guess I just caught a slightly weaker day and the restaurant withheld its true qualities from me :)
The paneer tikka masala thali lunch was really nice. My personal favorite was aalu matar.
Food is good and the condition is friendly.
Everything was perfect, the food, service and the atmosphere ?
Totally delicious Indian food. Big portion. Friendly staff and chic decor.
Delicious cury eaten, also a nice service
Very tasty Indian food. I especially like the lunch menu. It's a shame that you can't have the small bowls after 3pm. So you can try much more diverse. And I don't like that the menu lists are only in English. For someone who is not very well versed in English, it can also be written in Indian ... There is a point deduction for this. Otherwise it is recommended for someone who wants to eat something different.
Good selection of indian food. Quality is just okay. Service was good.
Good ambience, nice food, a must try among Indian restaurants in Mainz
The food was delicious and fresh. Also didn't have to wait long. In addition, the service was great and super friendly. Absolute recommendation!
We thought it was extremely tasty! Large vegetarian selection and nice staff. We'd love to come again!
Food was very blend...imagine Indian food without spices. Palak paneer was like market spinach with tofu. Briany pretty much the same. Had to add various things to get some taste out of it. Good for people who never ate a foreign dish and don't want to get out of their comfort zone.
The food was ok. Nothing special and very European Indian food. Price is ok, but if you are looking for really good authentic Indian food, look somewhere else. Service is ok.
We often go out to eat Indian. This was the finest! Highly recommended. If we were here a few more days, we would let this first-class cuisine spoil us again. 5 stars, definitely justified!
Nice food, great location
As a Frankfurter, I first have to come to Mainz to learn that there is another location in Frankfurt in addition to Mainz in the Rhein-Main area. So far I've only been to 10 different Indian restaurants in my life, but it tasted best here, and it was also good value for money. The unusual furnishings are also interesting.
Ordered delivery online for pickup at 17:30. I had to wait until 17:50. No apologies.
Ordered at 7:40 p.m. via Mainz delivers and it is now 10:30 p.m. and our food is still not there. The order was forgotten ... and then it took another 1.5 hours. Order number 9301. Never again!
It has a really nice taste and friendly staff. The curry is just amazing
Hipster version of Indian cuisine. Tasty, creative and worth it. Great for lunches/dinners with friends, a bit of a bar vibe, neon lights, low fi beats and lots of brick. Prices are ok, service is good and the food still has the "authentic" taste I like.
A really great shop! I really like the ambience and the waiters were extremely friendly and polite. We were regularly asked if we needed anything else, even if we were ready to receive the main course. The food came really quickly and was super delicious! Absolute recommendation!
Very tasty, affordable food. Served quickly and thanks to the GIGANTIC selection there is something for everyone. Vegan and vegetarian options are also served & there is a relaxed, native atmosphere. Unfortunately, my paneer was a little dry, but it was still a highly recommended restaurant. Would like to give 4.5 stars.
good
indian delicious recipes..
Decent Indian restaurant...Biriyani is good..
It's ok for an European-style Indian food
Excellent, superbly prepared food! The service was awesome. Highly recommend eating here. The ambiance is nice with a lite industrial feel. We had chicken tikka marsala and it was perfectly spiced. Naan bread was delicious!
Really nice Indian street food with fair price
I would have given more stars if that was allowed. Food is superbly amazing. Taste is authentic Indian, and even better than what we get in restaurants there in India. All the dishes are very well prepared and have flavors of their own. The ambiance is good with outdoor and indoor seating arrangements. Must try dishes - Holy paneer and Kadhi Pakoda, and Golden Milk (Milk with turmeric and cinnamon). Their menu is limited with no bells and whistles, but the taste totally justifies that. This place surely justify your desire.
Really good Indian food traditional authentic but modern all in one grate place to go have lunch
Awesome food......
I like the vibe and the obvious effort to create a hip fusion of Indian dishes. Their hospitality is unmistakably warm and sincere. However, the watered down version of Indian cuisine to suit the German palette is a huge disappointment, especially considering my Indian ethnicity and having bought into the high expectations that the other reviews here promised. To be generous, the quality of the food was average, the taste bland and without any regional signature and certainly not with any bite, subtle or not that authentic Indian cuisine offers. And then to add to the poor flavour, my guest’s take away was placed in a carry bag not properly shut, which laid waste to its contents now smeared on the floor of the car. A star for the effort and kind disposition of the waitering staff.
That was not a naan.
eatDOORI offers a wide variety of (actually quite spicy) Indian dishes. The setting could be a little bit more charming, but the food is still good. The dishes are served quite fast, and is ideal for a quick meal.
That's how food is fun. Super delicious Indian. Recommended.
Deliciously spiced Indian Food. Not a fancy place but a bit cheaper than the other options in Mainz. The Naan is great.
As an Indian, I can recommend this place without second thoughts.
its quite expensive and the quantity of food we get for the price is not that satisfactory
Very good makhani!
We really liked it there. The food tastes great and is very creative. Price fair, only the drinks are a bit expensive (beer from 4 euros). We will come back :)
Not bad)
Very tasty food. The food was there quickly. Friendly service
Nice little place, great food, good combos. Walked past it everytime, what a miss. Can only recommend.
Food is tasty and fresh. Smaller than Frankfurt but great place to go after work.
Excellent Indian Food. Polite hosts.
Very tasty food... I love paneer butter masala and vadapav
Great food, boderline fine dining.
LOVE IT! Give me all the spices!
